Alvar Paz

Alvar Paz joined Novavax in 2022 as the general manager of Europe with responsibility for leading the European business and completing the commercial build out of the new Zurich office. Alvar brings to Novavax proven experience in developing strong, cross-functional programs and building international teams that deliver on challenging business objectives. He has also rapidly scaled vaccine businesses across Europe.

Prior to joining Novavax, Alvar has amassed over 20 years of multi-national pharmaceutical business experience focused primarily in vaccines. These roles include global brand director at Novartis Vaccines and Diagnostics, managing director and head partner for growth markets at Corza Medical, and most recently, vice president of Europe and alliance management commercial at Emergent BioSolutions.
